Ase, Part 1(Salute to the Masculine Principle) a Repost for Father’s Day

BABA IS ON THE JOB. SALUTE!

The djed pillar, symbolic of stability and potency of the masculine principle.

I love the masculine principle. I mean absolutely to the core of my being to the core of their being I love, salute and uplift my brothers. The Aboriginal/Indigenous/Asiatic/Original man is a force to be reckoned with; a sight to behold. There is so much emphasis on what brothers “ain’t doing”,  I feel it’s only right to salute and honor the ones that are on their job; as well as encourage the ones that aren’t to get on theirs. This verse is from a song that I wrote/recorded about two years ago for a project that willfully will be released (hurry up other mcees/singers and finish yo songs!) titled “Ase”. “Ase” is a Yoruban word sound power that is said when honoring our ancestors, when invoking, and when transformation is called for. Indeed, that is exactly what the inspiration for this did to/for me. I am ever grateful and thankful for this Khepera (transformation). Ase!
