During the changing of seasons, even the strongest immune system can become compromised, especially if you work in an environment with children, have small children that attend daycare or public schools or work around “sick” people. Aside from doing a seasonal detox/cleanse, I’ve found sambucus also known as elderberry, in any form (tincture, syrup, fresh, etc)  to be one of Mother Nature’s greatest gifts. You can use elderberry daily as a preventative measure (if you have kidney issues, confer with your physician first). This video by Demeka Scott http://demekascott.com/ walks you through making your own syrup from scratch. If you do not consume honey, you can substitute agave or maple syrup. Stay healthy! 🙂
